Can you actually talk about the game? Remember that time the devs talked about how they had literally go out of their way, on their own time, behind Yoshi's back, just to make sure the glasses fashion accessory would function on Hrothgars and Viera, because YOSHI P HIMSELF don't want to invest the time and money? He was perfectly willing to ship the glasses fashion accessory out the door completely broken for Hroths and Viera.
The problem isn't Square Enix not giving the game enough funding, the problem is Yoshi P personally does not want to give the game funding. He wants to cut corners everywhere he can, quality be dawned. It's why not onlyMiqote ears, but their tails as well since EW, are being cut off by gear. Yoshi allows unacceptable issues like that because he has deliberately chosen to allow it to be that way to save money, not because SE isn't giving him the money, but because he wants to cut those costs even if it hurts the quality if the game
