Basically there's no PvP or ranking rewards. You just have 3 sets of end game modes you clear every 2-4 weeks for premium gem rewards. The only issue is powercreep, but it's still more tolerable than P5X and if you really wanted to be a metaslaves you can just roll the anniversary character and their team and be set for an entire year.

The MC is not a "character", because on the context of gacha, in which you roll for characters, the only "characters" are the ones you either roll in said gacha, or earn through events.
