The only Nintendo devs that give a fuck about timelines are Monolith Soft and the Splatoon guys, and even they get fudgy sometimes.
MS is a bit of a major exception to the rule though, since they seem to be entirely powered by one man’s 30 year long autistic crusade. They exist outside of conventional bounds.
