well put it this way- our expectations were subverted for chapters 3 and 4. we thought we'd be getting the same formula for chapters 1 and 2 the whole way, but a lot of these new developments came out of left field for us.
the knight could very well be dess, but remember, the circumstances could be a lot more complicated than that. maybe "the knight" is a title, a mantle for a group or collective. maybe the knight is simply puppeteering/mimicing the body of dess.
there's lots of variables we wont know until the game's fully out.
