I could legitimately live in my maladaptive daydreams for the rest of my life and be just fine. I would never question "maybe it's better on the outside," because I know that's just straight up not true.
If I could stay in my room with my music, movies, and vidya, I could disassociate and live in my fantasies of being loved by a woman, having good kids, etc etc, for forever.
The only reason why I do participate in reality (on occasion) is because I have to. Rent, food, and other bullshit costs money. You could really only live this life if you or your parents are rich.
I'm currently living a NEET life and haven't left the house since November (just in case some homo says Id get "cabin fever" if i actually got the secluded life i want), but my parents are starting to question if I have "plans." (I.e. when the fuck are you moving out?)

My best friend kinda had this mind set, I never had the heart to tell her she wasn't the kinda woman that a man would leave his wife for or settle down with. She was trashy, low class and a habitual cheating single mother, strictly pump and dump material.
