Absolutely fucking nothing is going to come of these talks. For a man who literally wrote a book called Art of the Deal, Trump seems to be chronically incapable of recognizing that any sort of negotiated settlement is going to be impossible so long as Putin remains in power.
I'd be remiss to not prognosticate that Trump only had these talks set up in the hopes of distracting the general public from the Epstein scandal and the poor state of the economy and that he's fully aware that this is all just pissing in the wind.
