enjoy mode is much more fun, it doesn't make the game any easier
challenge mode has some poorly designed progression. you will be racing against cars you cannot buy.
the way the game's money and bp earning goes, if you play on enjoy you are gated by how expensive the upgrades are instead of how far you've progressed in the story. some anons here will cope and say you can "buy an lfa in chapter 1" but if you actually try to do that you'll find it's actually mathematically impossible.

if you want to play it like gran turismo pick enjoy
if you want classic txr autism pick challenge.
there is no penalty or bonus for picking either mode.
