As some replies have already mentioned, the PS2 and Xbox both launched at the same retail price. But I feel it needs reiteration.

The thing is, most games are already available across most platforms. That's the multiplaform world so many people have been begging for all these years. However, now that we have it, it's not restricted just to consoles. It's whether a game can run on a low-spec Chinese PC or the PS4 or the Switch 2 or a smartphone.
