Point the finger and laugh at whichever country, the fact is ((they)) have decided a free and open internet is not a good idea after all. It will start with things like porn and pirating sites, then out to social media and so on. Some would say the internet died some time ago, but 10ish years from now it will just be a handful of corporate sites run by a handful of elites that demand your ID, your face and more.

While the UK is at the forefront of the problem it is not alone. Many governments have decided they don't like a free and open internet after all, and slowly it's getting locked down and fenced up.
