No. Minecraft is actually a popular brand and it makes sense to crossover with (if Sonic is going to be doing crossover slop).
Minecraft is also borderline a legacy character given the history with Yogscast (who were defacto minecraft youtubers at the time and more iconic than Steve was).
The issue is there's far too much focus placed on it. Not that it's there at all
