I always plan in 6 month chunks, it's worked out well so far. I don't expect to spend everything and never get lucky once, but I already need to get lucky once just to make everything I want - getting lucky more just means I have rolls to spend on the next non-limited characters in the next 6 month stretch to blufes.
If I played more loosely with rolls then I wouldn't be able to roll on bricks like nyIzumi and Nagusa.
