He kind of is or at least share similarities. He is an amalgamation of visual references of a circus ringleader in the same way Frankie's monster is an amalgamation of body parts of different humans to create something unique but familiar.

Something funny that just occurred to me is how Caine is meant to emulate humanity for the sake of presentation and further his goal as entertainer despite the game's visual style being non-sensical and caricaturesque, as if he was meant to remind them of the human world within the digital space. He could easily have been another weird fully anthropomorphic toy like how the humans become when entering the game but whether it was intentional or not he ended up looking like some sort of human with a head mask, just for the sake of it. Kinda as if his developers were mocking his lack of human traits by just making him nearly one.

That was all by gangle herself tho she forces herself to be happy when using the happy mask because she wants to feel happy. The plastic mask makes her miserable because she felt she had to keep up the facade to do her job

I think it was mentioned that the possession thing was like a cutscene override, where a player model has to act some way to advance the plot and therefore control is taken from them momentarily with the player model just below the map or elsewhere (Kinger beating the ghosts outta her could be him forcing an animation skip)

The stupid sauce is a bigger red flag but we don't know what was up with that, he might be able to control minds but same as when he pulled zooble physically he just forgets he can do that and never bother to try it out/it bothers him and doesnt want to do it

Im think we are getting red herring'd because if it comes down to that it feels like a very easy fix going by how Pomni's character in particular has grown through the episodes, there's gotta be a caveat in there

jokes aside I can imagine them all bringing up their own ideas on how to deal with Caine and see each fail until Pomni's and everyone's realization that no brute forcing or arguing is gonna work also maybe the eventual group hug and reaffirmation session or something cheesy
