The hyper-individualism, the hedonism, the nihilism, the epicureanism, and the capitalist materialism that is pushed on people by our judeo-masonic overlords ruins people. So does stress, and everyone is extremely stressed out, because we replaced the stupid old traditions of our stupid unenlightened ancestors with things that make sense like the 9-5 5 day work week and credit scores and such. The post-9/11 world isn't the same as the one that existed before it.
In rural areas where life is still frozen in time people are still like that. Drugs are a problem but they are everywhere. Rural areas still have soul because people haven't been demoralized, pacified, and psychologically terrorized by the modern "enlightened" world to such a degree yet.
