I actually have some experience with this type of situation in Modded Skyrim. I once made a sword-and-shield character and by the late game maxed out her resistances and armor level. With the mods I had installed she was basically immune to physical and magical attacks. She could stand in the middle of 5-10 melee enemies and tank hits for real life hours. There were two problems I found out about though.

The first was that she was a bit shorter than the men and so for some reason the physics were altered such that enemies could literally ragdoll her across the environment. This isn't a big problem because she's so tanky but it means that she kept getting punted to the ground while taking hits. With enough time this could soft lock her in a fight. The other problem were status effects. Sure she had 100% resistance, but any wacky spell or gimmick could slow her down.

Basically, an OP nigh-invincible girl - armored or otherwise - can still be defeated by just manhandling her.
Can someone explain to me why I get so mad when people criticize fanservice in video games?
Yes, this is video game related because this reaction doesn't occur when attractive women are criticized for existing in other media.

I assumed that it's because I take criticism of my entertainment as criticism of myself since you are what you consume, but there has to be something deeper here, since I have genuine murder fantasies about the people who criticize fan-service in video games.

Maybe it has to do with trying to influence a phenomena related to sexuality? We know other groups like gays and women get mad when you try to influence things related to sexual behavior (promiscuity and abortion), but society doesn't seem to recognize that controlling sexualized entertainment is just controlling sexuality related things but for straight men.

I just don't get why I would be so emotional about this.
So when the full game releases, will there be a Vindictus General on /vg/?
Will it be as bad as /tfdg/?
