Shooting underwater was added in Tooie, but only via the first person aim, in the first game you couldn't move while using first person aim, and if you tried the camera would just pan back out to third person

No, it fucking sucks. Being made by ex-Rare devs without any oversight in an echo-chamber of Rare fart-sniffers (at a time when uncritical Rare fart-sniffing was extremely high in general) meant that YK doubled down on all of the flaws that made Banjo-Tooie a mixed bag and which made DK64 borderline unplayable. It felt like YL being a miserable experience to play, without any nostalgia buoying it unlike BT and DK64, is what prompted the reassessment of BT and DK64 in the first place.
Also Laylee isn't anywhere near as fuckable as Kazooie so why would I bother?
