I like the idea that Glimmer has an unhealthy relationship with foals and the idea of youth because she had such a shitty foalhood which was cut short when Sunburst left her, and she's both quick to regress into a foal like state when she isn't being forced into responsibility, and she also has an uncomfortable desire and fixation on younger foals which she's aware of but won't admit to herself is full on desire for foal fiddling, and she tries to avoid foals for the most part because she's secretly afraid of havint to confront those feelings and also some part of her is afraid of actually doing something she'd regret even thouhg she knows she probably won't. And also the irony is that she's actually good with foals and gets along with them well and loves them in a wholesome manner, but she feels guilty about her secret fixation which she doesn't even know if it's the desire to touch the foal inappropriately or actually be the foal herself.
