Aside from being gay, Rohm wanted to actually dismantle capitalism in Germany and replace it with a socialist state, which Hitler felt would have weakened Germany's economy too much to fight the USSR.
You have to remember Hitler's number one aim in life was destroying the Soviet Union, all other aims were secondary at best.
