Have you every heard of the term "community leeches"? That's more than 90% of the Strive community. Most of them didn't play Fighting Games until Strive. They didn't attend tournaments until Strive, and they didn't even cosplay as the characters... until Strive.
it's not just Strive either. The FGC as a whole has become a safe haven for outsiders and everyone one in charge loves it while everyone that has something to say about it gets cancelled from the community. The most leech shit I have ever seen in from community came from the FGC - hosting tournaments for non-fighting games gamers with zero interest in fighting games, but, letting them in and paying them simply because they are a big twitch content creator. And making these event "invite only". Literally disgusting how open this community is about letting others leech off of them
