Usually no, but it's decent to make you slightly less susceptible to dispels. Manta buyers won't often get tripped up by the dispel brambles because their illusions will usually hit them first, but it'll work against dispels like aba's or LC's to ensure you get at least a little value out of the spell.
If they're using dispels like that, generally my play is to be more aggressive on the backline instead. Try and get brambles behind their frontliner, and be ready to blink forward and fear the backline supps as soon as a fight starts. Even if you die because you've gone forward into a suicide zone, it's often worth it just to keep their dispelling support away so their carry/tank can die
