Because they're spreading the costs of the tariff out globally to avoid pissing of Americans due to that being their biggest market by dollar amount. Realistically it should probably be a $100 or $150 price increase on the PS5 in America and nowhere else, but this is just spreading the rape around. Not to mention there's been a number of changes and new tariffs added since the global price hikes. You can weasel your way around all you want but you're never avoiding the reality that the tariffs are causing these. You can screech and say people don't understand economics but it's never going to change the truth.
