I always think about what an unfathomably fucked experience that attack must have been. Consider that it was a psychedelic trance festival--most of the people there were probably on another fucking plane of existence, their brains completely toasted on LSD, DMT, shrooms, and god knows what else. Suddenly, in the middle of it all, barbarians start flying in from the sky, screaming in an incomprehensible language, slaughtering everybody around you and throwing them in the back of trucks and driving off. I can only imagine it was a bad trip times a trillion--probably the most extreme, incomprehensible terror the brain is capable of producing.
