Every move he makes reeks of conquest. Every decision carries the stench of betrayal. He has no loyalty to Kato, to the fans, or to the spirit of Falcom itself. His only loyalty is to profit, to appeasing the faceless “market,” and to basking in the applause of western suits who see him not as a visionary but as a convenient pawn. And in his greed, he is burning the very temple he was entrusted to protect.

Mark these words: we are witnessing the slow-motion murder of a legacy. And Kondo, the so-called puppet, is not dancing on strings anymore — he’s the one pulling them.

Playing Kai makes me realize how overworked and unmotivated Falcom's staff, especially the writers must be. Every line of dialogue, especially the side quests and NPCs screams overworked and "I don't give a damn anymore." At first I thought it was because I was burned out, so I booted up my fan translated Zero Evo on my VIta, couldn't put it down, the writing felt so much more soulful, despit it being the shitty Flame edit TL. Hell, as bad as Kuro 2 was, but there was at least some soul in it. I feel bad for them. At this point I say put the Kiseki series on a long 5 or so year hiatus and let them work on something fresh and new. Even TX 2 would work. But yeah, put Kiseki on hiatus after Kai 2.
