mc being a Thief helps out mitigate the fortitude loss when failing chests and it helps build evasion (very strong when you get it high enough to dodge all atacks)
Most anons prefer to go Warrior early on but it's up to you really (you'll get all the classes leveled eventually)

Regarding gold just keep playing and don't spend it all in one place for now
There's gold events every month or so and you'll get even more from dailies as you play
The biggest problem you'll face early on is the lack of ores and guild tags

Partywise looks solid. Maybe have another damage dealer at the front instead of 2 Knights
Also I feel like you only need 2 Priest during boss fights so have someone else carry a spear or bow instead of Alice or Galina
And yeah hammers/maces aren't that solid right now so just give them a staff to heal better
