One thing that makes a huge difference is having the correct "slayer" attribute - Expulsion daggers, elemental daggers, demonbane, etc. Having the MC be the same element as an elemental weapon also further boosts damage against enemies weak to the element.

Once you get the 2nd DEX and VIT lights and unlock the extra Thief/Knight sections of the Well of the Mind you'll also unlock innate slayer attributes for the MC as well (ex. Demi-human, Magical Beast, Vampire, etc.) - not sure if this stacks with bane weapons as well, but I'm pretty sure it adds on to elemental damage bonuses from exploiting a weakness with an elemental dagger.

Anyone actually play the series and not just this game? I'm curious if 'Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord' is a genuine 1:1 remake outside the 3d graphics. Like all the cock and ball torture being exactly as the first game. Q: Why?
A: Dismissing an adventurer bondmate with a flaming heart icon, and with at least 2 other level 5 bondmates attached nets you a level 4 or 5 bondmate. The attached bondmates return to your inventory after dismissal. A level 4 or 5 adventurer bondmate give +5-7 to a single stat, and each adventurer has a unique stat unrelated to their class (i.e. Clarissa gives Strength, Alex gives Vitality)

Q: How?
A: 3 minimum requirements: defeat Helmut, defeat Octonarus, bronze grade. Order does not matter.
For some adventurers this is enough to get the flame heart. For those who don't get the heart, the fastest way I found to farm affection is to fail a single chest, head back to town, and do the tavern conversation if available. It doesn't matter if the adventurer you're farming doesn't show up to the tavern, they still gain affection.
I do this on earth den personally so I can ore farm at the same time.

Q: Is it broken? Should I prioritize this?
A: No, it's a minmax thing. You get some free stats when dismissing for tags.

Q: Who should I affection farm?

No, Wanderer stops learning skills early while Fighter keeps getting skills till level 55 where they learn Full Power Strike. FPS is also the best physical skill by far that MC can learn but is only usable while he's a Fighter.

Ninja event (it's permanent) is unlocked after the first third portion of the third abyss. You're on the second half of the first abyss now, so after that you just do second abyss, and you'll be pretty close after that.

Nope, eat up, but make sure you know why you're eating it before you do. Better to hold and understand the game. Abyss 1 NG+ does not demand much so you don't need to invest like crazy.

Don't worry about upgrading much yet, focus on upgrading weapons the most. Just give your priests a staff so they heal better.

mc being a Thief helps out mitigate the fortitude loss when failing chests and it helps build evasion (very strong when you get it high enough to dodge all atacks)
Most anons prefer to go Warrior early on but it's up to you really (you'll get all the classes leveled eventually)

Regarding gold just keep playing and don't spend it all in one place for now
There's gold events every month or so and you'll get even more from dailies as you play
The biggest problem you'll face early on is the lack of ores and guild tags

Partywise looks solid. Maybe have another damage dealer at the front instead of 2 Knights
Also I feel like you only need 2 Priest during boss fights so have someone else carry a spear or bow instead of Alice or Galina
And yeah hammers/maces aren't that solid right now so just give them a staff to heal better

It all depends on how you define difficulty. Wizardry could technically be more "tedious" than hard, because of the way the original handled a TPK - if your party wiped, they were dead. You gotta step back and play something else here and there rather than trying to play this as a job - the FOMO is how gachas get you, and while Daphne does have enough of that to barb the hook at the same time I consider it nice that you don't actually have to engage with it that much to get an enjoyable single-player experience out of it.
