according to this theory, it takes Lego the same amount of "factory time" to make 1 $400 set, as it does to make 1 $10 set?

I might be able to believe that, similar to how you can photocopy a small thing vs a large thing, the photocopier would still run at the same speed

but my instinct says Lego could make a lot more $10 sets rather than $400 sets, but... maybe not 40x

and other than the first The Lego Movie sets, I've NEVER seen sets sell out or be unavailable. they exist on store shelves for years and years. so probably BS on the supply issue, at least

the mechs are Lego trying to figure out how to sell minifigs for $15 each. include a bunch of bricks with 'em. (kind of similar to the micro fighters)

I'd like to see less main characters, more wacky semi-background characters. Star Wars fans would lap-up slop of that calibur. Zam Wesell mech would sell like hotcakes, for example. (or Zam Wesell micro fighter)

those things are super perfect impulse-buys, as opposed to those ridiculous $300+ sets. I'd much rather buy twenty $15 sets
