You need to convince/swoon your companions, and there was also a court scene in this game, which I won't spoil, that is just speech check after speech check. Also, you have to wander Neverwinter as an offbeat cop which requires a lot of speech checks too or they all end up as fight encounters.
And I remember at that moment realizing playing as a Bard on how the fuck are you supposed to play this game anything other than as a Sorcerer, Bard, or Paladin.
