I got in trouble in high school for farting against the wall in the changeroom before gym class. It was fairly thin and would reverberate with fart noises into the girl's changeroom next door. I guess someone must've complained and then someone snitched. I didn't admit to it under questioning but I still got a lecture.

in Canada you can live in a common law relationship with a woman who has kids, and never be married. if you break up after a few years, you can be legally compelled to pay child support and tuition costs for her kids (that you aren't a father to in any way). it's insane. on of my former professors was telling us this as a warning story, apparently it happened to one of his sons and he was stuck paying child support to some lady's children from another guy until they turned 18 years old, and he had to do this well after they had broken up (the kids were like 12-13 when they broke up).
