Is it possible? I've been saving up and plan on getting FFS by next year. It's only going to be a rhinoplasty and genioplasty (nose and chin), in my country. I don't plan to get anything more intrusive and expensive since those are the biggest issues with my face and I already malefail every so often.

I'm boymoding and cannot come out to my family beforehand because they are transphobic and I am relying on them for part of the money, but I haven't thought my plan through in detail.

I plan to only tell them I am getting a septoplasty to fix my deviated septum. How quickly would the bruising and swelling go down? Also they would probably insist on coming with me and seeing me at the hospital. I have no friends that I'm out to, so there is no one else who could care for me and drive me home etc. I could just tell them I'm unhappy with my nose and chin and getting plastic surgery, and not tell them it's FFS specifically, which technically wouldn't even be a lie. However, they would notice my boobs if I cannot bind in the ward. Would this work if I were to somehow go in secret and avoid them for a few weeks? Would they notice my face looks weird, or that I sound weird on the phone? Also my job involves a lot of calls and talking, so I hope the genioplasty doesn't fuck my mouth and speech up for too long.
