I tried too. I like bourbon, but nowhere near enough to get wasted on it daily. All I ever use it for now is when I have a cold, which is almost never. I took all the hooch I had bought for my new hobby and just made a shitload of vanilla extract with it.

Ironically, I gave up beer to give this a try, and never went back to beer either.

Where I work they have all kinds of disincentives to doing that, like forfeiting accrued leave. The sanctions are more significant if you try to retire without a couple month's notice. It's one of the things organizations have to do when they rush women into leadership positions since in most cases they don't have the slightest idea what the people they supervise actually do, and couldn't do it themselves to save their lives.
