Organic revolutions are impossible in the modern world
In pre-modern times, a large number of peasants could overwhelm even the best trained warriors.
Kings and nobles were under constant threat of peasant rebellion.
But ever since the industrial revolution, and especially since 1945, the technological gap between army and civilians has gotten so wide that a regular army could easily slaughter millions of civilians.
Civilians are no longer a threat to rulers. Uprisings can be easily suppressed.
Thus, organic revolution has become impossible. Any successful uprising must be done with the support of foreign nations. Civilians become tools of foreigners, against the interests of their own nation.
