It's normal. Or, at least, it used to be before the interwebs. It's hard to pick a side to care about when they both lie cheat and steal to get what they want out of you and constantly try to instrumentalize and own you and your thoughts for power.

Politics are always for politicians/activists and against the masses, against you as an individual. I respect people who enjoy science, because once you get past the academia BS, scientists don't typically try to buy your thoughts or harmonize you with a political group. Hence why, I'd imagine, you like 4chan. Everything is anonymous here. People still try to sell you shit, sure, but there's no individual power, updoots, money, or even friendships to actually be had here, so people just say what they want. No systemized AI slop. No clickbait. No shadow bans.

Here, we are human, not tools. We are free to post and fight our wars for ourselves. The information presented here comes to us without making demands of us. You won't lose your career or get a career here, and everything is more or less consensual thanks to the website's inscrutable basic bitch design.

To not be political is to be sane. People like you mean we're healing. You're capable of real empathy, the kind with nuance and love for your enemies that the human condition is at its best known for rather than just politicians' use and manipulation of your feelings and thoughts to dehumanize and be violent to anyone of the opposing tribe you're supposed to hate.
If there is one form of gun control I blanketly support it is keeping firearms out of the hands of bottoms.

Honestly the board needs to die for a while. Longer than CHICKEN JOCKEY. I'd say 2x length would be healthy. >>719995947 called it right in that most of /v/ doesn't play video games. This isn't even an argument against casuals. Most of this board is divided into 3 camps:

People who play video games at all
People who don't play video games but whatever [insert streamer here] play it
People who don't play video games at all but really like the controversy surrounding video games

Twitter screencap threads have gotten way, WAY out of control. And there is far too much partisan horseshit going on to be healthy. >>719994785 no you fucking asshole. A woman on the fucking box is not a tranny dogwhistle. There were plenty of heroines before 2010. But there are so many posters ready to dunk on [insert group here] that no game can be judged on its individual merits but rather by how much it makes some other group seethe.

So nothing can just be fun. The quality of everything has to be measured by factors that have nothing to do with whether or not the game, or even discussion of the game, is fun. And you can't come up with goofy shit because anything you make has to go through like 5 screens against bad faith actors until the purpose is defeated. I don't give a shit if Reddit found level 5, 16, 36 images funny. Why does Reddit finding a thing funny dictate whether it can be done here.
>implying anyone here knows what 5, 16, 36 threads even are

Well you see anon, everyone over there is conspiring to destroy your way of life! Meanwhile if you just buy a ticket, the average guy over there doesn't even know you exist. Most people doesn't give a shit about foreign policy, they're trying to figure out where their next set of groceries are coming from.

Nice to know nobody here can't have a different opinion on Le bastion of free speech.
