I'm going to assume that the number of Russians who die on any given day as a direct result of military operations in Ukraine (KIA, DOW, and DOI put together) runs well over a thousand. The source for daily Russian casualty estimates comes from the Ukrainian ministry of defense and they're only counting the ones that they can visually confirm killing. Wounded presumably aren't being counted and men confined to the infirmary with Typhus definitely aren't.
