Introduce baby Pokemon that have the ability to grant you an energy or apply pressure when you're going first. With 0 retreat cost so you can pivot into whomever, and just enough HP that they're outside of the threshold for many common basics to OHKO.

Hey guys, just got accepted at DeNA! So fucking excited to be working on this game, and I'm going to take suggestions in this thread to the balance team.

It was a long process with 4 callbacks, but so worth it. The interview question that I'm really proud of was:
>"How would you balance the current metagame, given Espeon EX's dominance?"
>"Well, I propose we make an Audino EX card that has the ability of Sylveon to draw when placed on the board, and a move that heals anyone for 30 damage when used. Make an item card that functions like Eevee-bag but only for EX Pokemon."

When I said that, the interviewer visibly had sparkles in her (I respect her gender choice, okay? who gives a fuck if she had a beard) eyes.

He immediately told me I'm hired and shook my hand right then and there. Said I have exactly what they're looking for. I can't believe I finally get to work on the game I've spent thousands of dollars on so far. Going to be putting at least half of my paycheck every other week into this. I fucking love PTCGP, and I fucking love all of you.
