I think the movie did what it needed to do, be well received and a moderate hit, does that mean this new DCU cinematic universe is going to be like peak Marvel was? No it won't, people are done with this whole cinematic universe shit, only way this can be reliable is if they keep the budgets way way down but I doubt they'll get billion dollar hits at all, if ever
Only capeshit I see hitting a billion in the upcoming years are the Avengers movies because they're filled with memberberries and RDJ returning, and even then they will still make LESS than both Infinity War and Endgame
I think making a cinematic universe in 2025 is the wrong way to approach this garbage, not like James Gunn really gives a shit as he wasn't into playing ball with Marvel during peak capeshit years, I think all he cares about is his own shows and movies and getting a fat paycheck, but once he actually gets down to running the franchise like Feige did he will probably leave
