Since around the tail end of Endwalker, XIV has actually be plagued by a few noticable bugs and errors like this that were EXTREMELY rare in the earlier days. I don't actually blame the XIV team for it at all, in fact I think it's an indictment against Square-Enix and proof that when Yoshida says they aren't given the resources they need for the game that he's telling the truth.

I really don't understand Square-Enix's policy and treatment of its cash cow game... big name Japanese developers seem to really be going off the deep end the last few years with some extremely questionable decisionmaking.
