i'm just giving you advice based on my own experience, take it or leave it. if you wanna tie it to an object, make sure it's a meaningful one tied to something that deeply resonates and reminds you of yourself, something meaningful from your past. if you can keep from losing continuity between your dissociative shards, you can use it to remind you of that piece of yourself, and help you bring it to the forefront, to bring yourself back to life basically. make sure it is as emotionally powerful as possible, that will ensure it can outweigh the motivations of other parts of yourself that might otherwise go against the wants of that original self
its a bit of an insurance policy, the spirits can be very reasonable with this stuff if you actually work things out with them respectfully. that part of my posts you like to identify as "fake", that's the original me shining through the void. you love to blame me for my spiritual connections and act like i'm some hijacker but you conveniently call my original self a lie, you are blinded by rather shallow and combative conviction. as somebody who has been exploring these things for a few years now, it wounds me to see all my effort reduced to a shallow boogeyman by a paranoid idiot
