It's the earliest beginnings of the entire heretical movement that came to call itself "Judaism," which was originally a gnostic sect. It had nothing to do with the Christian Bible.

All that they have done is plagiarize things from the Bible and claim (based on no evidence) to go all the way back, just like many others such as the Mormons and Mohammedans. The people who call themselves Jews reject the Old Testament and follow the Babylonian Talmud only. They also have absolutely nothing to do with the Jews or Israel mentioned in the BIble.

The Babylonian Talmud was written in the 3rd to 5th century AD and has nothing to do with the Bible or with 1st century Jews or Israel at large. Those who adhere to the Talmud have no real connection in any respect to the ancient Jews, their origins are primarily from the various gnostic sects that existed in late antiquity, and Eastern European pagans who converted to it in the middle ages. They mainly practiced occult kabbalah superstition. There is really no connection between them and historical Israel of ancient times.
