its a stupid premise because there is legitimately no counter to a full plate armoured knight in single hand to hand combat. but people also take it without context and don't realise full plate armour wasn't relevant for very long nor were armies based on these knight's existences, it existed in a very specific time and in that timeperiod no other single military unit would beat them in a 1v1 melee due to the simple fact of technological and specialized skill difference.
