You play as Varik, a disillusioned ex-commander from a fascist regime that lost a devastating war. Sent on a suicide mission, he’s betrayed by his own people and left for dead in enemy territory. He’s rescued by a small, ragtag militia made up of those he was raised to hate: a queer ex-priest, a Middle Eastern-coded demolitionist, and a mute freedom fighter whose entire town was wiped out.
