IDW is harmless. I read the comics expecting hard DEI and wokeism, but there's nothing.
It's just a comic for children with some edgy moments slipping in and fading into nothing, like a writer frustrated that he can't write his soap opera.
Surge and Kit have really cool designs and feel like IDW marketing really hard their OCs to Sega seeing how much they respected Sonic design principles with those two.
Tangle and Whisper are a little too OC, but then you see their writing and they're also harmless, just your regular Genki Tomboy and your sad emo character.
I really like Whisper speech gimmick tho.
Then Lanolin and Jewel are sexo. Lanolin seems the most harmful one especially with Adam selling what seems like soft-core porn of her.
Rough and Tumble are bros. And just barely villains of the wiki.
The worst one of the bunch is definitely Starline, which kinda sucks since he's so involved with Surge and Kit.
Besides Surge and Kit all the other characters feel like they'll be, at most, cameos.
But besides it, where's the harm? Why are you guys so scared of it?
