That sliver was a razor in the cake. The excuse now is that the missing minute was just something that happened and don't question it, even though there's someone in the background moving around before and after and the camera angle moved slightly. It'd be like a referee ruling the ball was short when it was clearly past the marker, but then the NFL 'lost' the footage and oh well, turnover on downs.
