Honestly, take the bull furnace as a base, make the head area look a bit like this alien from Ben 10, and give it hands or melee weapons for arms, and it's pretty much what I'd envision a "soul furnace" to look like. Make the belly a n open-mouth skull where the corpses or souls are shoved in by the attendants. They even painted it with green balefire colors for some reason.

It would be a really good way to add an elite option to the hordes of ghosts. And you could get real creative with it. Something that just came to mind would be a soul furnace. A real big walking furnace that burns the souls of those who've pissed off Nagash one too many times as fuel. Could spew balefire from the furnace grate and have little spirits trying to escape from it.
