i dont care what your resolution is when you bought a 16:9 monitor (which, if we apply the same logic to, is a super outdated aspect ratio)
21:9 is THE aspect ratio for gaming, movies and browsing the net. you don't need to increase the fov, the enemies dont become smaller, you get to see more detail, there's less aliasing, and it just fucking looks 300x better.
so for you, dear OP, get a 21:9 monitor. if you can't afford 3440x1440 since it's pretty costly performance wise, get a 2560x1080 panel.
