I wouldn’t blame it for that. I see this sort of criticism used for many works across different types of media and it seems unfair. If someone makes a shitty shit that reuses things from a better show I would blame that show and its creators not the other show. It’s like blaming Half Life for the direction FPS games took. It wasn’t it and Valve’s fault that people are unoriginal retards that latch onto other people’s ideas for the sake of trying to emulate their success.

I’ve noticed that people tend to focus more on The Adventures of Huck Finn than Tom Sawyer? Why? Personally I think the latter is much better and has more going on. And Tom even makes a cameo in the former.
