>Unlike Nova and Zonda, Gunvolt finds out that Morbius is only acting out because he's scared. Like Joule, like Mytyl, like Kohaku, like Layla, Morbius is just another scared and hurt child. Morbius can see the apocalypse, and it terrifies him. Despite his godlike powers, he lacks the maturity and life experience to effectively address the problems leading to the end of the world, so lashes out and only makes things worse. Gunvolt's belief in humanity and will to see the humanity in even universal destroying monsters like Morbius is why he's such a compelling character. To hold onto that hope for others and the world, not in some Supermanish perfection, but simpy by struggling across it all and choosing to carry on and overcome your faults. But Gunvolt also understands that where many villains are like Morb and deserve a second chance and a helping hand, there are always a few Novas and Zondas in the world who cannot be reasoned with and are too dangerous and malicious to let live.

This analysis so frustrating. He's literally describing the sort of characters Nova and Zonda were when talking about Morbius. It's like he's trolling me.

The issue is that the status quo in Gunvolt is really shitty, but GV ends up sitting on the sidelines and only coming out of shadows to slap down anyone trying to make radical change. He's not very proactive or politically informed. When GV does get involved, he fails to make meaningful change or even makes things worse. Meanwhile, Zonda and Nova actual ideals and reasonable/actionable plans for uprooting the status quo.
