Both samuses are out of character. Samus is a massive daddy's girl fake tomboy, her tough girl persona melts multiple times in the series, she is not the incel "tradwife" mindrot because she has bird aliens and ice aliens fetish, but more importantly she has a massive crush on tough guys. /v/ hates her because she HATES little crybaby bitches (like Sylux), outright ignoring their existence entirely.
We never see Samus being Samus instead of the genocidal killbot Metroid, but it's safe to assume that part of why no one makes the connections is because the Samus in the Power suit we see being badass and silent has nothing to do with the Samus girly girl going into bars and smashing pussies and dicks and a lot of booze between missions.
