are you sure it's actually fully charged? the cues aren't what you might think they are. that blue flash that comes from the barrel? that's not a cue for it being fully charged. The meter has to be fully red and fuzzy like a railgun approaching 99%, and coils or fuel rods or whatever need to be fully depressed. There's a significant difference in the size and appearance of the explosion between an uncharged and a fully charged shot

The flash is not an indicator for max charge. The charge meter has to max out and start going fuzzy like the railguns and the fuel.. rod? things have to be fully depressed. Firing at the moment of the flash will only get you the lower power, very inaccurate shot.
