Roughly 40% of players outright finish Ranni's storyline, the most overt mainline story in any Fromsoft besides Sekiro, so no Elden has a story and ending it has 3/4 main interpretations. Whats interesting are the details, where is the Sun/is the Erdtree a mushroom/Color theory/was Radagon always Marika or another entity at some point/alien stuff at the star school and fingers/a civil war from the now Snake aligned Rykard against the erdtree in what might be a cycle. There is so fucking much.
SOTE ending is an embarassing fart that makes zero sense like does the Tarnished just go fight Godfrey and do endgame after? Where does it "fit" after Farum Azula? Elden Ring is a hodge podge of 5/6 major storylines written by GRRM and if youve read his work you can see how he structured it.
