When Kuro 1 came out I kind of got the feeling they were saving a lot of the interesting things for the sequel but that was fine and nothing new for the series. I was sure that it would all get addressed in Kuro 2. Then Kuro 2 came out and it felt like Falcom did every single possible thing in their power to delay absolutely everything they could until the next game. I was immensely pissed off but I thought okay surely now the next one will finally pay everything off. Then we got Kai and absolutely fucking nothing happens until the end and now we're back right where we started and holy fuck I just want Kondo to die at this point. Why is nothing allowed to happen anymore? How many fucking times do I have to wait for the "next game"? Like holy fuck the Cold Steel games are like 10x more eventful than the Calvard games are and that says A LOT.
