It’ll probably be closer to five hundred, but look for a pre 2010 MIM Standard Strat. 6 screw trem, really nice feeling neck, solid pickups. I got this one in 04 and it’s my most beat up and neglected guitar by far, took a huge fall off a skateboard one day on the way to practice but it still feels and sounds great. I regretted the paint job for a long time but it’s grown on me over the years. I painted it in a blackout after taking the Heath Ledger challenge back in the bad old days. I’d say find one now before they get even more expensive, they’re your best bet if you’re looking for the best bang for buck on a fender Strat. I still see them at GC in the used section pretty regularly, just use the serial number and look for anything 08 and prior.
